Mistfall Hunter Loot Guide – What to Extract First

Full bags feel productive. Banked upgrades are productive.

This loot guide is about decision rules, not every item ID.

The density rule

Prefer items that are:

1. Build-defining for your current class
2. High value per slot (rares, compact mats, progression keys)
3. Quest / unlock marked by the game

Deprioritize:

• Off-class legendaries you can’t equip this week
• Heavy stacks of junk that slow pad decisions
• “Maybe” crafting bulk when extract is contested

Three inventory buckets

Bucket	Examples	Policy
A — Must keep	Your weapon upgrade, key gems	Never drop first
B — High value	Rare mats, sellables with good density	Keep if space
C — Bulk	Commons, filler	First to drop under pressure

When the mist closes or players push, delete C before you risk A.

Early-game loot goals

For the first sessions, extract success means:

• Any strict upgrade to armor or weapon
• Currency / mats that fund repairs and restocks
• One gem that matches your Mercenary (or main) plan

You do not need a perfect six-piece set from run three.

Mid-run decision tree

Bag full?
  ├─ Have a real upgrade? → Rotate to extract
  ├─ Only bulk? → Continue one POI OR leave if noise rises
  └─ Heard players + valuable bag? → Leave now

Loot and noise

Big elite kills and repeated skill spam advertise your grid. After a loud objective:

1. Loot fast (A/B only).
2. Move at least one zone toward extract.
3. Sort inventory in cover, not on the corpse.

Solo vs party loot

Mode	Rule
Solo	Smaller routes; bank often
Party	Call “we leave on next purple”; don’t AFK sort while Seer waits

Vendor / stash mindset

• Repair is part of the economy — dying with unpaid gear spirals.
• If the hub allows preferential salvage, convert C bulk so next deploy is cleaner.
• Don’t hoard five experimental loadouts before you can pilot one.
